Prof. KeyKe Liu

    Prof. KeyKe Liu, male, born in May 1964, is of American nationality. He is an energy scientist, a foreign academician of the Australian Academy of Technology Sciences and Engineering, a chair professor in the Department of Chemistry at Southern University of Science and Technology, the dean of the College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Southern University of Science and Technology, the dean of the Institute of Clean Energy at Southern University of Science and Technology, and a specially-appointed professor at Shandong Agricultural Engineering College.

    Liu Ke studied at Northwest University from September 1980 to July 1984 and obtained a bachelor's degree in organic chemical engineering after graduation. Obtained a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Northwest University in July 1987. Worked at ExxonMobil Corporation in the United States from 1992 to 1999; Obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the City University of New York, USA in July 1994. Obtained a Doctor of Chemical Engineering degree from the City University of New York, USA in July 1995. Served as the project director of Monsanto Corporation in the United States from 1999 to 2000. From 2000 to 2004, served as the Director of Systems Engineering at the Shell joint venture of United Technologies in the United States. Obtained a Master of Management degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the United States in July 2003. From 2004 to 2010, served as the head of the Gasification Platform and chief scientist of the Global Research and Development Center of General Electric (GE) in the United States. From January 2010 to September 2014, he served as the deputy director and chief scientist of the Beijing Institute of Low-Carbon and Clean Energy. In 2013, he was appointed as the vice president of Shenhua Research Institute. He was elected as a foreign fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology, Science and Engineering in 2015. Since February 2016, he has served as a Chair Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Southern University of Science and Technology, the dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Southern University of Science and Technology, and the dean of the Institute of Clean Energy at Southern University of Science and Technology.
